Review: Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Aloe Vera

A change of season brings with it a change of moisturizer. Introducing the latest addition to the Belif family, The True Cream Aqua Bomb Aloe Vera.

Everything you loved about the original Aqua Bomb, but with an added hydrating punch in the form of aloe vera. This is a great transition moisturizer, from gels of the summer months to a heavier creams of the winter. The Aloe Vera provides a cool, lightweight formula that soothes irritated skin, while simultaneously delivering instant hydration.

This moisturizer is perfect for dry, sensitive skin, but I think even normal skin types would find this fantastic. In addition to the soothing properties of the aloe vera, which just so happens to be hand-picked and sustainabily farmed in Guastatoya, the gel also contains lady’s mantle, which provides anti-inflammatory properties (hello sensitive skin types) and Napier Aqua Formula, which is a blend of herbs like chickweed and plantain to boost hydration.

The gel also has a light citrusy scent to it, which is surprisingly refreshing when applying in the morning.

So how does it stack up to the original Aqua Bomb and its sister, the Moisturizing Bomb? Well I would say it falls somewhere in the middle. I think I still prefer the originals – the Aloe Vera is slightly more sticky than the original, but I suspect some will love that, especially under makeup. If you’re on the hunt for a new moisturizer, this is definitely one to consider! That’s another A for you, Belif! Love what you do!
