Review: My Armani To Go Essence-In-Foundation Cushion

For the past few months I have been trying to get through the various foundations I’ve accumulated over my time as a blogger, but when the lovely folks over at Langton Communications asked if I wanted to review the My Armani To Go Essence-In-Foundation Cushion (that’s a mouthful), of course I had to say yes. And boy am I glad that I did.

I was given the foundation to try in the shades 3 and 4 and honestly, both are a fairly good match for my skin. Shade 3 is perfect for my pale, winter tone, but I can imagine that shade 4 will be perfect when I have a little bit of sun.

I’m already a big fan of Armani foundations – Luminous Silk is a cult classic for a reason – but I had yet to try a cushion foundation from the brand. I love a good cushion, purely for the convenience of it – it’s easy to apply every morning without mucking up your hands, but it’s also perfect for on the go touch ups. The compact comes with a big mirror and a sleek little applicator that has the perfect point for getting into every nook and cranny of your face.

I would say this is a medium, buildable coverage with a satin finish. It looks incredibly natural on the skin, and has a fairly decent wear time (although I would say that you can expect some wear throughout the day if you’re a face toucher like me). In terms of comparing this to Luminous Silk, I would say that it’s slightly more matte and perhaps has a bit more coverage. But whether you love Luminous Silk or hate it, I think the Essence-In-Foundation Cushion is still worth trying out.

This has quickly become an everyday staple for me – I like to push a damp Beauty Blender right into the cushion, and bop a few areas around the centre of my face before blending out.

If you’re looking to try out a cushion foundation, I would say look no further! A+ Armani, well done!
