Review: Biossance 100% Squalane Oil

New year. New face. My skin has had a mind of its own lately. For the past 6 months I’ve been battling breakouts while simultaneously trying to combat a dry, flakey face. Seriously, some mornings I wake up and my face feels like a raisin. I needed to find something that would truly hydrate, while still being gentle enough for my sensitive, breakout-prone skin.

I’m not new to squalane oil – I loved the Indie Lee one – but I felt like I went through that bottle way too fast, so I hunted for something comparable and discovered the Biossance 100% Squalane Oil.

While Indie Lee’s squalane only came in a 30ml bottle, Biossance gives you a whopping 100ml (FOR TWO DOLLARS LESS!!!). The bottle comes with a handy pump, and you don’t even need a full pump to cover your entire face. The main difference between the two oils, is that Indie Lee uses olive-derived squalane, while Biossance uses renewable sugarcane.

The Biossance oil can be used on the face, body and even hair, and hydrates while soothing redness and leaving your skin incredibly soft. Like Indie Lee, Biossance’s oil is considered “Clean at Sephora”, and is vegan, cruelty and gluten-free.

If you’re looking for a skin saving miracle this winter that will last, and not break the bank, look no further. A+ Biossance, can’t wait to try more from you!
