Sephora Sale Top Pick: Clean Beauty

Sephora is throwing yet another Beauty Insider Appreciation Event (until Sept. 3), which means there’s absolutely no better time to test out new products. When it comes to skincare I’m a big advocate for clean beauty, so if I recommend one thing for you to pick up at the sale this year it’s Sephora Favourite’s Clean Beauty set.

Sephora is pretty good at creating sample-sets that give customers an opportunity to try out new brands, but up until now I hadn’t really seen a favourites that I was dying to get my hands on. The Clean Beauty set features eight different cleansing and moisturizing products made without harmful ingredients along with a small travel bag that’s perfect for on-the-go.

I’ve been putting the products to the test over the last few weeks to really prove that this set is worth checking out…

Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm: When it comes to cleansing, I love my oils, especially at night. And balm cleansers are no different, so it was no surprise that I really like this one. Its super soft and gentle but really does the job of getting all the dirt and makeup off my face at the end of a long day.

Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Crème: This cream has really taken my moisturizing to the next level. I’ve started to notice that my skin responds better to lighter, more hydrating moisturizers, rather than the rich formula’s I used to slather on my face. The Pink Cloud cream goes on thin and absorbs quickly – my only issue is that this sample felt significantly smaller than the rest (maybe because they knew how good it was and that I would be going back for more haha).

Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer: I’ve been testing this moisturizer since running out of the Pink Cloud cream, and while it certainly hydrates, it doesn’t pack the same punch as Herbivore. I do love squalane though so this products fits in really nicely with my routine which feature’s Indie Lee’s Squalane oil.

Kopari Beauty Coconut Melt: This is probably my least favourite product in the set, but also most peoples’ favourite. I’m just not a huge fan of using coconut oil to cleanse, but I know a lot of people really love it. Instead I’ll be using this as a balm moisturizer on those really dry patches this winter.

Ren Skincare Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask: I’ve already reviewed this on my blog so if you’re looking for more detail click HERE. But this is still hands-down my number one favourite mask and there’s not much more to say than that.

Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser: I love Tata Harper, but I’m not usually a fan of manual exfoliants. I typically feel like they can be a little too harsh on my skin. But this one is not only gentle enough to make it in to my morning skincare routine, but it’s citrus scent wakes up my skin while keeping it looking polished and bright.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask: It’s nice that this package isn’t just looking after your skin, but also your hair. It features the cult classic conditioning mask from Briogeo, which honestly doesn’t need much of a review because it’s a favourite for a reason.

Youth to the People Superfood Firm and Brighten Serum: I’m not sure if it’s just this serum or a combination of the serum and the Pink Cloud cream, but by skin has been looking plump, smooth and hydrated ever since I’ve introduced this. The serum has a water-gel texture and absorbs into the skin incredibly fast making for a perfect base.

If all these weren’t reasons enough, the Clean Beauty set is only $42 CAD with a whopping $129 CAD value.
