Review: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum & Rich Cream

My favourite folks over at Influenster recently sent along their latest VoxBox which featured two brand new products from Vichy Laboratories’ Aqualia Thermal line – their Rehydrating Serum and Rich Cream.

Vichy’s Aqualia Thermal is all about high-impact hydration. The range features ten different products with the highest concentration of Vichy’s Thermal Spa Water – allowing for soothed and fortified skin, with up to 48 hours of long-lasting moisture.

The Rehydrating Serum is meant to work for all skin types. Using 97% naturally-derived ingredients, including Hyaluronic Acid, the serum works to instantly refresh the skin. It’s a water-gel texture that absorbs very quickly and doesn’t leave your skin too sticky. If you’re sensitive to scents though, you’re not going to like this product (or range to be honest). Despite being tested on sensitive skin and hypoallergenic, the serum is very heavily fragranced. And even though it’s alcohol-free, it has a sort-of faint alcohol scent, like a cheap perfume.

The same goes for the Rich Cream. This product is super hydrating and thick – definitely good for very dry skin types. The brand also offers two other lighter variations of this cream for normal and oily skin, but if you can’t get past the scent, you’re probably not going to like this product either.

I really love the Vichy brand – in fact, I’ve been using it on and off for years. It’s definitely one of my favourite lines available at the drugstore, and these products certainly do what they claim to – my skin feels hydrated and nourished. But if you’re like me, and scent plays a major factor in what you can and cannot use on a regular basis, these products might not be for you.

I was given these products complimentary for reviewing purposes, but the opinions are all mine.
