I’ve always been a big advocate for facial oils. I started incorporating them in to my beauty routine a few years ago, and I’ve never turned back. I tend to look for oils that I are gentle enough to use every night and I’ve tried just about every kind under the sun, but there are a few types that really stand out and Squalane is one of them.
So what is Squalane oil exactly? It’s a 100% saturated oil that is often extracted from plants (not to be confused with Squalene, which is less stable).
Squalane oil is suitable for all skin types (oily skin rejoice), and is non-comedogenic, which means you shouldn’t have to worry about pimples. It’s also super moisturizing, non-irritating, soothing (which is great for my eczema), and can help protect skin from free radicals. But one of the neatest things about Squalane oil is that it’s a natural antibacterial!
In my hunt to try a new oil, I discovered Indie Lee’s Squalane Facial Oil – it’s 100% pure, Olive-derived Squalane that claims to promote elasticity, diminish age spots and boost cell regeneration and oxygenation. I don’t know about all of that, but I do know that my skin has never felt or looked better.
I apply the clear, scentless oil each night after cleansing and applying serum and eye cream. It absorbs very quickly, which is likely why it works so well on oily skin, but still manages to feel moisturizing.
If all this weren’t reason enough to want to try out Squalane, consider the price. Even the most expensive Squalane is still relatively affordable. Indie Lee’s only comes in at $32, which for a pure facial oil is a pretty great price!
Have you tried Squalane? What were your thoughts? I definitely give this Indie Lee oil an A+!
