So I’ve mentioned it on here before – I’m on the hunt for my wedding day makeup (no I still don’t have a date, but we’re planning for 2018). When I saw that Lilah B. was available on Sephora, I knew I wanted to test it out, but I didn’t realize that I would have a bridal eyeshadow contender until I tried it.
Lilah B. is a natural makeup brand that aims to make beauty simple. Starting with their minimalistic packaging, right down to the formulas themselves. Their motto, “with less, you are more”, really does illustrate the brand’s philosophy – allowing you to achieve a beautiful, subtle look with simple, streamlined products.
Subtle is the key word here. If you’re looking for BAM-in-your-face pigmentation this is not the brand for you. But subtle is exactly what I’m looking for on my wedding day. People always say not to over-do it on your wedding day – that you want to look like a more enhanced version of yourself, and thats what their Palette Perfection Eye Quad in Stunning Nude does for me.
The palette comes with a combination of matte and shimmer shades that blend together like an absolute dream, but are also able to build up for a slightly more dramatic (but still natural) look. The most pigmented shade in this palette is the highlight shade – and I’m not mad at it. In fact, of all the shades, this is probably the one where I want the most pigment.
The four colours are all a neutral brown. Not too warm, but also not too cool. There’s honestly not a shade in here that I don’t love. Even the darkest shade is not too dark for me, and all the colours really help to make my blue eyes pop.
I also ended up picking up their Bronzed Beauty Bronzer Duo – which is kind of a bronzer-highlighter duo, but the highlighter is way too dark for my skin tone. In fact, this entire duo is a little bit too orange-toned for me, but I make it work because it really does leave a beautiful healthy glow to the skin.
Honestly, if these weren’t enough reasons to try some products from Lilah B., just look at the packaging. SERIOUSLY, LOOK AT IT. I wish you could also feel the weight of this packaging, it’s so heavy – and, I believe, made of some sort of ceramic (so maybe not the most travel friendly), which makes it one of the most luxurious looking products in my collection.
I can’t wait to try more products from Lilah B. I’ll give these an A+. Have you tried any? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
