Review: Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip

If you’ve been following me for a while now you know how much I love Influenster – if you don’t know what it is, I seriously recommend checking it out. Its a place where you can write reviews (not just on beauty either) and receive free products from amazing brands to test out.

I’ve been lucky enough to receive quite a few boxes, in fact, I’ve already tired out The Lip Pencil from Bite Beauty before through Influenster. But this box was definitely one of the best! This time I’m putting the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks to the test!

I received three colours from Bite’s new liquid lipstick range – Demi-Glace, Flambé and Éclair (pictured above from left to right) – as well as the Line and Define Lip Primer.

The Lip Primer is like a suped-up lip balm for under your lipstick. It’s super hydrating with a lovely minty scent, but unlike most lip balms, doesn’t slip around. It took me a minute to get used to applying a glorified lip balm with such a sharp tip, but after layering it under a lipstick I realized its the perfect shape to precisely apply without (or with, if that’s more your style) overlining your lips. The fact that you’re able to make such a precise application means you can make sure you’re creating a perfect base for your lip colour. Worried about that sharp tip getting dull? Fear not. because the base doubles as a pencil sharpener!

As for the Amuse Bouche, I definitely have a favourite, and that comes in the form of Éclair. I’m sure you could have guessed it, but I’m just drawn to the pinky neutral tone. The red colour (Flambé) is also beautiful for a bold night out, but Demi-Glace was just way too dark for my complexion.

First off, the packaging of the liquified lipsticks is absolutely stunning. The matte grey in a square tube is so chic, and the transparent base makes it easy to know which colour you’re applying. The liquid itself is super creamy and easy to apply thanks to the long doe-foot applicator. These liquid lips are definitely not the typical long-wearing matte product, but they are extremely pigmented and dry down to a beautiful satin finish. The formula has a slightly sweet scent, but nothing too overpowering, and range comes in 12 shades – nudes, pinks, peaches and reds.

If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like the feeling of liquid lipsticks that dry matte, but want something with just as much of a pigment-punch, I can’t recommend these enough!

I received these products for free from Influenster for reviewing purposes, but as always, all of the opinions are my own.

  1. How beautiful, thank you for sharing! The funny thing is that I actually like how Demi-Glace looks on you (at least from this photo), although you didn’t. It actually looks more purplish and subtle on your lips than on your arm (at least from my computer). I just ordered and am excited to try this. 🙂
