I’m still on the hunt for my perfect eye cream, and along the way I’ve discovered the Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate from NIOD… I bet you’re wondering the same thing I was wondering – what the heck does that mean?
I discovered the NIOD brand through The Ordinary (a skincare line that you already know I love). They are both owned by Deciem and NIOD is meant to be the more high-end range from the brand.
Now this eye treatment, isn’t actually a cream. It’s a serum with actually more of an oily texture to it. The formula is said to combine 28 clinical technologies to target many signs of under-eye and above-eye aging (ABOVE-EYE AGING!? SAY WHAT?!). Don’t get me started on the clinical technologies, because to be honest none of it makes sense to me. But it claims to target visible aging in a single treatment, reducing the appearance of lines, dark circles, puffiness and texture (with visible results in 3 days).
Okay – so does it work?
For the life of me, I can’t tell the difference. I apply a few drops to my finger tips morning and night and pat around my eyes (both upper and lower). It absorbs very quickly, but dries to an almost sticky texture. It also doesn’t make my eyes feel particularly hydrated, and I’ve noticed that even my concealer looks crepe-ier than usual.
Luckily I purchased this product on sale, because if I would have paid full price I would not have been happy. I think I’ll continue to use it up (since it still was a pretty penny), but I definitely won’t be purchasing again.
What are some products that you’ve loved from the NIOD range – let me know your recommendations because I’m not ready to rule it out just yet.
