Review: Elemis Skincare

I recently got my hands on a bunch of different products from the Elemis skincare and body line (thanks mom) and have been putting them to the test.

Elemis is not a line that’s readily available in Canada, but my mom took a cruise not too long ago, picked up a bunch of different products and was generous enough to share them with me.

Most of what she grabbed was from the Sp@ Home line. The Musclease Herbal Bath Synergy, Active Body Oil and Instant Refreshing Gel are all fantastic products that help relieve muscle tension. I’ve always had back and neck problems and I swear this stuff has really been helping lately. The Instant Refreshing Gel is definitely my favourite product in this range – it’s like Bengay from the spa; a cooling gel that smells like peppermint and almost numbs the skin, providing instant relief.

One of my other favourites from Elemis has to be the Absolute Eye Mask. It’s a refreshing and plumping treatment that’s perfect to use two or three times a week. I haven’t noticed any big differences in my dark circles as of yet (something that the mask claims to improve), but overall it’s a really nourishing formula that gives my tired eyes an extra boost when it’s needed.

But it’s the Frangipani Monoi Body Oil is the real star of the show here. You have to warm the bottle up to liquify the oil (it starts out as a solid), which is slightly annoying, but what comes out is truly magical. This oil seriously conditions and softens your skin. It absorbs pretty quickly and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy, but it has a luxurious scent that lingers on throughout the day. You can use this oil on your hair, nails or body, and is a great alternative to an everyday lotion.

Have you tried anything from the Elemis line? Let me know what you think I should test out next!
