Review: MV Organic Skincare

I recently ran out of two of my favourite skincare products, the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil and the Pai Camellia Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, and while I still absolutely LOVE them, I decided to give a couple of products from the MV Organic Skincare line a try.

I picked up both of my MV Organic products at The Detox Market – a boutique that specializes in natural skincare. First, I grabbed the Daily Soother Booster oil – I had read some reviews of this online and it sounded perfect for my dry, flaky skin.

The oil contains calendula which helps sooth and protect, as well as patchouli, lavender and palmarosa. This stuff has really helped my eczema – I just put a few drops on my damp face and voila! Nourished skin! This oil also absorbs nicely, keeping me feeling hydrated without looking greasy.

I also picked up the Gentle Cream Cleanser which I absolutely love, mostly because I think it reminds me so much of my holy grail Pai cleanser. Although this cleanser claims that it can remove makeup, I don’t use it for that – with these ingredients I prefer to use this as a second cleanse or in the mornings.

That said, and as beautiful as this is, this cleanser is much more expensive than the Pai cleanser. And for what seems to do the same thing for my skin, I think I’ll stick with Pai going forward. If you had to choose I would suggest spending your money on the oil instead, which really was a hit for me

Have you tried other products from the MV Skincare line? Let me know what you loved so I can check it out!
