Review: Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser

I’ve been using the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser for a few years now, and while that’s still a favourite of mine, I wanted to try out something new. I had loved the Pai BioRegenerate Oil and knew that I wanted something to sooth my red, sensitive and dry skin, so when I heard about their Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser I knew I had to give it a go!

I love that this cleanser is dual action. Not only does it gently cleanse the skin, but it also makes for an excellent makeup remover when in a pinch. I use this primarily as either a second cleanse, or morning face wash, simply because of the price and quality of ingredients. I would much rather use The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil to remove my makeup and save this to really hydrate and nourish my skin. But if you don’t mind using this as a makeup remover, it really melts away everything, including mascara.

The texture is really unique. It almost feels like you’re cleansing with a lotion. And it has a slightly citrusy scent to it. After using the cleanser my skin always feels super soft and hydrated, which is likely due to the alcohol and detergent-free formula.

Bonus, this cleanser also comes with its very own muslin cloth!

All and all, I would highly recommend this cleanser for anyone with sensitive or dry skin, and I definitely will be repurchasing (I purchased mine at Jacob and Sebastian here in Toronto). A+ Pai!
