Review: Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid and Cream

I’ve been struggling with some major dry skin recently, and in my search for a holy grail moisturizing routine, I’ve stumbled across these beauties – the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid and Cream.

Dr. Jart+ is a dermatologist-developed skincare brand, originally from Korea, that helped to launch the illustrious BB cream in to the US. For me, anything that comes from Korea has my seal of approval. They just do skincare right. So when I saw that Sephora stocked the brand, I knew I wanted to test out some of their products.

I also love the packaging of these products. They have this sort of medicinal look to them, which makes me feel like they may actually be beneficial for my skin (I see you Dr. Jart marketing team).

As for the products themselves, the liquid is a serum – meant to be used after cleansing but before moisturizing, in both the morning and night. The cream, is just that, a cream. But here’s where things get interesting. Both products work with the power of ceramides. What the heck are ceramides? Glad you asked, because I had no idea.

Ceramides are a main component of the epidermis layer of skin, and help to prevent excessive water loss. As you age, there’s a natural decline in ceramides, and what these products are meant to do is replenish them.

Both products claim to plump and seal dry skin for all-day moisture. And, to be honest, they work. I’m still testing out the long-term effects of the liquid and cream. But even after using them for the first time, my skin instantly felt plumper.

Only time will tell if these become holy grail for me, but it’s safe to say that I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for some added moisture!

Have any recommendations for helping with super dry skin? Let me know in the comments!
