Is this award-winning concealer all that it’s hyped up to be? I put the Clé de Peau concealer to the test.
First, let me just say that spending nearly $100 on concealer seems absolutely ludicrous. But when you’re as hyped up as the Clé de Peau concealer I figure it must be pretty spectacular. And boy was I right. This concealer is amazing!
Lately I’ve been struggling with some VERY dry under eyes. In fact, I haven’t experienced anything quite like it before. I think it’s a combination of allergies and testing out a new drugstore concealer that just did not agree with my skin.
I wanted to invest in a new concealer – something that would be moisturizing, full coverage, and last all day. And what better than Clé de Peau? I picked mine up from Holt Renfrew, but there are a few other boutiques in Toronto that also sell the line.
Stick concealers always tend to be on the more creamy side, which often has the downside of creasing. But as long as you set this concealer, you’re locked in for the day. The consistency is thick and creamy, and very easy to blend. Personally I like to apply the stick directly to my face, then warm it up with my fingers. I’ll do some final blending with the Beauty Blender, but a brush works just as well.
I purchased the shade Ivory, which is the lightest that it comes in, and it’s a great match for my skin tone. I probably wouldn’t recommend this to someone with super oily skin, but if you’re like me and you’re feeling extra dry, this is definitely worth the investment! A+ Clé de Peau!
