I’m finally back from Paris and while it was a lovely trip, it’s great to be home. But what would a trip to Paris be without a haul?
My first mission when in Paris was to pick up a new fragrance. Partially because France is, after all, the perfume capital of the world. But also because Kathleen Lights had this great idea to pick up a new perfume on every vacation to create brand new scent memories of the trip. What’s funny is that I went all the way to Paris to buy a fragrance created by a Canadian! My first purchase was the Byredo scent in 1996, which is a magical combination of vanilla, amber and patchouli. Not only is the scent totally unique, but it has a beautiful story behind it. Read more about 1996 HERE.
I also picked up the legendary Erborian BB Crème in Clair. I’ve heard amazing things about this product. Unfortunately it’s nearly impossible to find in Canada, but it seemed that everywhere in Paris was fully stocked. In fact, they even have their own Erborian store! I’ve only been using this BB creme for about 2 weeks but so far I LOVE it. If anyone knows where to find this in Toronto, let me know!
I also popped in to a KIKO store to pick up two of their Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows in 25 Light Taupe and 39 Dark Taupe. Holy staying power. These shadow sticks are insane. Seriously, once you apply these you must blend blend blend as fast as you can. But once you’re done, you’re done. The only down side, you have to prime your eyes before applying otherwise if this stuff creases, there’s no going back. Overall though, a great product and I would highly recommend!
Now not technically a Paris purchase, but my Kylie Cosmetics gloss in Literally arrived while I was away so I thought I would include this in the haul. I REALLY wanted to love this product, and while the scent and formula seem great, the colour just does not suit me. I’m still willing to give it a shot, but it looks like I’m still on the hunt for my holy grail lipgloss!
Now that I’m home, I want to try to find some new items to blog about, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!
