I’m sure if you asked Becky what she’s been using in her hair, she’d say the Olaplex No.3 at home treatment.
There’s been a buzz about salons lately, and it’s name is Olaplex. The in-salon and at home treatments have revolutionized the way blondes like me colour their hair. So what exactly is this miracle product, and how does it work? Olaplex reconnects broken disulfide sulfur bonds in the hair. Hair bonds are broken during thermal, mechanical and chemical services (i.e. bleaching your hair).
The treatment links broken bonds in hair during and after the dying process, making your hair stronger than before. You really do have to try it yourself to believe it. I purchased the at-home treatment (No.3) at my salon, which uses the in-salon treatments during the colouring processes. I’ve heard different ways you can use this, but the jist of it is, you apply the treatment to towel dried hair and leave it for a minimum of 10mins, or better yet, overnight. Then rinse. Simple enough.
Use the treatment once a week, and it will seriously change your hair game. You will notice, stronger, softer and shinier hair, almost immediately. Next time your at the salon, ask them if they use the Olaplex treatment, and if they sell the at-home No.3 – you won’t regret it!
BONUS: Another hair treatment I’ve been loving lately has come in the form of a Sephora Point Perk. The Drybar Bay Breeze Hydrating Shots. Seriously, if you’re headed to Sephora any time soon, pick up this perk. Sephora sold out? Don’t worry these FULL-SIZE perks can also be purchased.
