For That Blonde Blonde

Blonde

I’m all about that Blonde Blonde, if ya know what I’m sayin’. And these are a couple of products that are keeping me straight up silver in between tones.

I’ve been blonde for most of my life. Besides an unfortunate stint back in the early 2000s, I’ve either kept my hair it’s natural dirty blonde/mousey brown shade, or full-on bleached it. But when I go blonde, I want to stay blonde, and for that, I’m relying on L’Oreal Professional Serie Expert Silver Shampoo, and Davines’ Alchemic Conditioner in Silver.

L’Oreal’s Silver shampoo is kind of an underrated product. I mean, I’ve heard a few people talk about it, but because it’s “just L’Oreal”, I don’t think it gets the respect it deserves. This shampoo is unrivalled, in my opinion. I use it every time I was my hair, which is about three times a week, and it keeps my brass at bay. This shampoo is a really dark purple – one of the tell-tale signs of a quality blonde shampoo.

For conditioner, I’m loving this gem from Davines. This is a pretty new brand for me – in fact, this is the only product from them that I’ve tried, but I’ve heard great things! Like the L’Oreal shampoo, this conditioner is a dark purple. After washing, just ring out your hair, apply the conditioner from root to tip, and leave on for 5-10 minutes. The only down side to this, is it’s packaging. I hate that it’s in a pot instead of a bottle. I understand why they did this – the conditioner is really thick – but I still hate having to dip my hand in, and try not to get water in the pot!

Not pictured above, but worth the mention. I’ve, for the first time, toned my own hair! That’s right, little ol’ me. I thought it would be really scary, but it was actually super easy. It’s perfect for right around that 4-week mark, to hold you over between hair appointments. I use the Wella Color Charm Permanent Liquid Hair Toner in T18 – Lightest Ash Blonde!
