My Must Have Beauty Tools

They might not be as fun as powders and paint pots, these beauty tools are serious staples in my daily routine. What would I do without them? I’m not willing to find out.

My favourite beauty tools do a little bit of everything. From hair, to nails, teeth and face, these products have revolutionized the way I get ready, and stay lookin’ fresh.

Let’s start with my most recent purchase, the Sephora Color Switch by Vera Mona. I literally purchased this a week ago, and I don’t know what I did without it. Every one complains about washing their makeup brushes and I’m no exception. But unlike your average beauty guru, I actually only have a few eyeshadow brushes, so to me every brush counts. This genius tool makes switching between colours a breeze. Just take your used brush and swirl it around in this sponge-like pot, and it will exfoliate the powder away (DRY!!!) so you can use another colour in just seconds.

Two hair tools that have taken my locks to the next level are the Invisibobble and the NUME 25MM Classic Curling Wand. I always thought this Invisibobble concept was just a gimmick – like, who wants to wear a telephone cord in your hair -it’s like those bra-strap headbands that were such a hit in the 90s. But then I tried one, and boy was I wrong. These things are the best! They don’t damage your hair, but they’re strong enough to keep my long hair up in a top not! Truly an every-day staple.

I purchased this NUME Wand over the holidays, and got it for a steal – NUME has great offers that run periodically, so just keep an eye out, or get a discount code from an affiliate. When this wand arrived in the mail, I was not disappointed. It’s super easy to use, and the curls last! I mean, I don’t curl my hair every day, but this is lovely on weekends and for special occasions.

Another hi-tech tool that I’ve been loving is the Foreo ISSA Toothbrush. I got this over the holidays as well – I wanted a new electric toothbrush, and my mom was kind enough to purchase this for me for Christmas. This is a pricy tool, but honestly, it’s great! I have very sensitive gums, and the silicon bristles on this baby are so gentle, I could brush my teeth all day! It takes a bit of time to get used to, but once you do, you won’t want to go back to regular toothbrushes. I saw Sephora recently started stocking Hybrid brush heads, which combine silicone and polymer bristles – so it looks like I’ll be needing to make an order soon!

Finally, and probably my number one favourite, ride or die, cannot live without, forever and ever amen, beauty tool: the Sephora Cut to the Point Cuticle Nipper. I have a problem with chewing my cuticles, and this baby has put a stop to it. Whenever I come across a ragged cuticle, I pull these out and, snip snip, gone! I’ve tried a bunch of different brands’ cuticle cutters, and this one is by far the best.
