Two Hair Products I Cannot Live Without

There, I said it. I cannot live without these products. This doesn’t happen often to me, at least when it comes to hair. So when I find a hair product, or two, that do exactly what I need them to, I never let them go. Meet my new duo for thicker, fuller looking hair.

My issue with hair is limpness. My hair is straight. No. Painfully straight. I know some people might see that as a blessing, but you love what you don’t have, right? My tactic for fuller bodied hair used to only be daily washing. I know, I know. What am I thinking!? Daily washing damages your hair. Well, I needed volume, and the only way I knew how, was that freshly washed fluff that most people love to hate.

That was, of course, until I met these two products. Introducing, Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray and Kevin Murphy’s Body Mass. Now you’ve probably heard of the former. In fact, it’s a cult favourite among the beauty community. But let me tell you. This stuff really works. A couple of quick sprays to dry hair gives instant texture and body. I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos and mouses, but nothing compares. The one downside? The price tag. The Oribe brand is an expensive one. I’ve tried some of their other products, which are good, no doubt, but their Dry Texturizing Spray is the stand out, by far. BONUS: You can even get purse-sized versions of this miracle spray!

Kevin Murphy’s Body Mass, on the other hand, is actually something that I’ve never heard anyone mention before. In fact, the first time I tried it was at my salon (shout out to my girl Kendra at Palm Sunday). It was love at first spray. Not only does this product smell delicious, but it really works! Body Mass is a leave-in hair plumping treatment for thinning hair. OK. I don’t have thinning hair, so why am I using this? THE VOLUME! I’m a firm believer that you should use products if they work for you, no matter what the packaging says. After washing, simply towel dry your hair and spray the product in. I usually like to twist up my hair in a bun while I finish getting ready and then blow dry for extra volume.

I honestly don’t remember what my life was like before these products, but I think the important thing to note is, I’m no longer doing daily washes, and it’s all because of these two beautiful bottles.
